In Texas, Pathways of Texas has created an integrated system of care that encourages clients and families to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency. Every effort is made to provide services in the least-restrictive, community-based setting available to achieve treatment goals. We offer individual, group and family therapy, intensive home-based and school-based services, telemedicine, and Therapeutic Foster Care.

Pathways has been providing services in Texas since 1998. Beginning with a small contract with the Texas Department of Juvenile Justice in El Paso, Pathways of Texas has grown from one to 14 counties, establishing a record of high-quality care and service to a hard-to-reach population of juvenile offenders. Our services have expanded into other areas of behavioral health, telemedicine, foster care, and workforce development. Our current funding sources include Department of Family and Protective Services including both child and adult protective services, Juvenile Probation, most Medicaid and CHIP health plans as well as commercial plans such as IMHS/Cenpatico, Tri-Care, Amerigroup, CompCare, and some school districts, among others.

The Texas Mental Health website at was developed with the goal of providing information, resources, and direction to Texas residents who may have mental health or substance use related needs or who want to support someone who does. The website includes helpful information such as a treatment locator, helpful mobile applications, a behavioral health activities calendar, and important numbers to connect Texans with immediate help including 2-1-1 and The Veterans Crisis Line.

In addition, the website includes useful tools and information about the following:

  • Mental Health Services
  • Substance Use
  • Veterans Resources
  • Education and Support
  • Children and Families
